It is the oficial body created to control and guarantee the origin and elaboration as web as the defence and promotion of oil with PDO Siurana in compliance with its rules (Ministery Order 19-11-79. B. O. E. 13-12-79. Reglamentation 2081/92 of de Counil U. E.).

It is a colegiated administrative body democratically constituted by the representants of the production, elaboration, sales and exports departments in the production area.

The Regulatory Council certifies that the oil sold with P. D. O. (Protected Denomination of Origin) "Siurana" has been:

1. Produced in the geographical area that comprises the denomination.
2. Elaborated according to its own regulations.
3. Controlled according to its quality parameters.
